Put up a small batch of pickled asparagus last week Yield 9 12oz tall jars. Half/half white vinegar/water small amt. sugar dried dill, red pepper, turmeric, garlic, peppercorns, mustard seed. Everybody wanted a taste today and whoa...somebody forgot the SALT!No one died, obviously and I can't believe I did this. I've been canning for years and it's never happened before. Do I need to consign the lot to the fridge and we can salt as we go? Dump it? Or? ....crud.
