No, don't put a marble backsplash against that quartz. Look for a tile that's a glazed porcelain. Don't combine it with a different stone-style tile. There are wonderful tiles in different mosaic shapes that would look great. White hexagons or arabesque style designs would be an alternative from subway tile, but subway tile is also very classic.

Is there a quartz you suggest against a marble backsplash? I really wanted a really classic look, but I'm afraid a white subway tile is a little too white against the london sky.

What about this honeycomb design? White but not subway. Probably comes in other colors Walker Zanger is the tile mfg.

It doesn't have to be pure white subway tile. You can get it in all sorts of tones from cream to grey. It can be glass or porcelain, sharp edges or bevelled. On principle I would not combine quartz and marble--they are just too different and will fight with each other. If you want marble as a backsplash you'd need to have a natural stone countertop so they'd relate to each other.

Hi all! I ended up not doing London sky, as it comes up as a little too grey for my liking (white cabinets) I ended up going with MSI Q Calacatta Vicenza and I love it! I will post some pictures.

How about a Sherwin Williams Paint color suggestion? I am going to do the London Sky on the counters with white cabinets. Trying to find a a good paint color. I have oak natural hardwood floors.

We agree. Choose a ceramic tile backsplash with a more open pattern. White and gray to pick up hues of the London Sky.

Both will work. Glass will have a more glamorous look. Ceramic will have a more rustic. Look. It depends on your overall motif. Hope we helped! Happy remodeling!

kabs1, I am following your other thread also, I am thinking of doing a white subway. My cabinets are not a bright white..so found a white subway that is softer. Plan is to accent with color. Love your kitchen!

A snow white 3 by 6. Several tile shops have it here. It goes with either the London Sky or Minuet( other choice). I don't even have my cabinets installed...delays.

I am doing London Sky with white cabinets and this backsplash. Objective opinions?

My wife and I selected London Sky for our kitchen. We went with a marble backsplash and we think it looks great. The backsplash is just from Lowe's and it's only ~$10 a ft (Allen + Roth Venatino Polished Mosaic Natural Stone Marble Wall Tile). Grout is Whisper Grey from the Tile Shop.

Nice choice. The hues of cream compliment the countertop. Subway is trending now too.

I also have London Sky quartz countertops with BM Collingwood on the cabinets and PPG Ghost Writer on the walls with dark wood floors. The pantry door is being replaced with a frosted glass door. The room does not get much natural light so I want to keep the backsplash light. I am thinking a white glass subway tile but concerned it will look too stark white. (There is a sample to the right of the stove). Any suggestions?

The sky is the limit with this color. White on white seems to be the most popular. Choose a backsplash that has touches of gray to enhance the movement of the London Sky palette.

Here we used Pearl in a ceramic subway with hues of cream and gray.

Love our London sky counter tops. We considered a white tile backsplash, but wanted to add a bit of color to our kitchen since all perimeter cabinets were bright white. We searched for a long time for a gray tile that wasn't too light or dark, and ended up finding this unique tile that was exactly what we were looking for. It's a glazed brick tile so it's easy to wipe but has a bit more texture than a typical porcelain tile. It's the Cambridge glazed brick in smoke from Bellavita tile.

Kitchen reno is nearly done (don't pay attention to the unfinished wood by the vent hood as it will be fixed!)

Meghan Stamelos. I am remodeling my bathroom and have picked marble tiles similar to calcatta gold for the shower and a marble floor tile and both have very white undertones. I love the overall look of London sky but thought, like you it was too gray. When I look on MSI website the MSI Q Calacatta Vincenzo also looks gray but your kitchen is beautiful and looks white. Thoughts comparing the two??

We went with a warm gray (French Linen) ceramic from Fireclay Tile to pair with the LS using a soft gray grout. Very happy with it.

If you see comment, will you please tell me (or anyone else who has installed white cabinets and white subway tile with London Sky quartz) what color or undertone of white cabinetry you used? I'm considering London sky for my bathrooms (and maybe kitchen, too), but I am limited to either Medallion cabinetry in Sea Salt Classic (bright, clean and cooler white) or White Icing (a creamier white with a slight yellowish/warmer undertone. We may be renovating for resale, so we are limiting ourselves on selections. These cabinets go by the name of "Schuler" at Lowe's, but they have the same two paint colors for white cabinets.
