I ordered a 'Royal Purple' Lilac, and received it 8 days ago. I had 2 day shipping.

I've been carefully hardening it to the sun all this time, since i have full sun all over my property. Anyway, I am considering planting it this morning, but I want to make sure this is definitely a Lilac. I've been giving it the side eye every day since I got it because, to me, it just looks different than my other Lilacs. The leaves are thicker than my other Lilacs. It's the only way I can describe it. By the way, that one little brown spot was on the leaf when I got it. I'm sure once it's in the ground the plant will be a lot happier.

Below is another Lilac I got from the same place last year. It's an extremely healthy, robust Lilac. Don't you think the leaves look different from the Lilac above? Or is it just me?
