tiny rosette sedum possibly ruby glow

hi: I bought this tiny sedum - in front of the creeping thyme - last spring.... I divided it into several pots ( I also left one in the original pot) ...anyway after our winter (near Toronto) the plants all died down to the soil and the new plants don't look like it at all ...none so tight like rosettes. They're in full sun, they were kept in the garage over the winter and possibly a small amount was put in the garden but that didn't survive. So my questions are ...do you think this is really ruby glow? And is it possible that my plants have reverted back to one of it's parents?

I just noticed that if you click on the picture you can enlarge it.

the following photo is what it is now ....

I apologize for the bad photo but it gives you an idea of the difference I hope. :) The original leaves were fatter and 'juicier' looking whereas the new leaves are thin and i'd say elongated except they're in lots of sun. They were also bluer ... but since I kept one pot exactly as I bought it then I can't blame the different soil either.
