We recently had a water leak in our kitchen and had a section of the ceiling removed near the pendants. The ceiling has been repaired and looks great, but now we took down the ugly flourescent fixture and would like recessed lighting. The problem is the joists run perpendicular with the cabinets, not parallel, so we could only install a few near the junction box. I'm a cake decorator and need good lighting when I work. We're considering track lighting instead. Any ideas or suggestions? I'm afraid to install track lighting and not like it, and be left with holes in my new ceiling!
