Way to go, Jenn! Where are you located?

I am in Ann Arbor, MI. I forced the dahlia tubers for the first time this year and instead of doing it like a sane person I pul almost ALL of them in pots. About 50 different tubers. But now I'm happy because I normally don't get blooms until end of July and I have several varieties (Preference, lavender perfection, American dawn, taboo, Ali Oop and Heather Marie) that have big buds and will bloom this week.

I'm with you about so-called 'sane people.' Who WOULDN'T want their formal dining room full of dirt and pots during Easter Dinner with the in-laws? It's so totally worth it. Just wait until your collection grows quadruple that number... spouses REALLY enjoy tripping over watering cans you misplaced while trying to answer the phone.
