Maybe a Notocactus? It would help to see a photo lit from the front so we could see the color. How large is it? It's a beauty!

Ok I wish this was mine!!! It reminds of a golden barrel between the plastic looking spines and all that wool. It has similarities to Echinocactus Grusonii v albispinus:). This is a beautiful cactus whatever it is)!

Echinocactus grusonii v. albispinus is probably the most likely. It normally has much denser spines than this, however.Notocactus warasii can get very woolly when large, but it usually has thin, hair-like spines. Hopefully yours will bloom soon. That always helps with ID.

I'd guess some sort of Lobivia / Wigginsia South American thing, but better pictures in natural light are needed.

But I do see the Echinocactus characteristics that ken mentioned - it could be a form of those fine things.
