advice on my kitchen

so I have dark cherry/expresso cabinets going in, and st Cecilia granite a tan/yellow with hints of black. the floor I am thinking tarsus beige tiles but polished. if my floors are polished does the back splash need to be a polished shiny finish as well?

Your backsplash would not have to be polished even if the floors are since they will not even be close to each other. Think about all of the shiny objects in a kitchen along with wood cabinets. The same thing applies to the backsplash and flooring.
