do I need to use stainless steel appliances?

I have white appliances and oak cabinets. I'm trying to incorporate them. Is this a possibility with your design or do I have to purchase stainless steel?

It is up to you. Stainless does have a fresh, modern look, but it by no means a pre-requisite for good design. I think if a lot of the other elements in the space are white based, like the countertops and maybe the backsplash, the white appliances work ok. Are they fresh and modern appliances or do they look tired? I think that is more important than the finish color.

I have red oak cabinets, book cases and all window and floor trim....I would like to keep the cabinets and book cases as they are. Can I have a granit in soft/cream, with some shades of black, grey and some brown tones in it. Then what should I use for wall and back splash colours. What should hardwood be? I am looking at a dark but can change. Ns

no one NEEDS granite, quartz, stainless steel appliances or costly tile for a back splash........there are a lot of ways of updating your kitchen without spending a fortune.
