Night Owl.

I would go with nightowl as well, my kitchen has a different color island and cabinets and I love it, makes it feel more like a piece of furniture than cabinets.

Smoky Brown is a very nice choice! It looks wonderful on Red Oak. Nightowl will be perfect!

Of the 3, I would go with Slate. Although I like Night Owl best on its own, I think its rich reddish brown tones are not consistent with the floors and will make the floors look dull by comparison. I think the Shale is too close in shade to the floors that there will not be enough good contrast.

I like a plain counter on the perimeter and a really awesome counter on the island and all the cabinets the same color
