Are you doing the 125 degree door hinges? I was trying to install some last night and was struggling also.

I am able to do it if I come from the back going in at slight angle. (Like this video, which you have probably already seen.) But sometimes I have to actually put my entire palm on the damper to get it to engage some of the time.

I installed all of the door hinges already, but I had the same experience with the doors. Sometimes they snap in real easy, and occasionally, there needs to be more force than you would think to make it work. Of course, I don't like forcing these things because that seems wrong, so I try to be careful.

Yes, the 125 degree Ultrista. The videos I saw looked like they were going in from the front, but I still can't get them to work either way. One popped right on and I can't get any others to work.

Just don't play with the hinges and close them on your palm or any parts of your hand.

Obviously I'm talking from experience. An hour later of excruciating pain before I was able to pry the hinges open. I was lucky to have a massive bruise for three weeks vs having part of my palm sliced off.

I will be careful. I've managed to get all of the left side hinges on but not most of the right, probably because I'm right handed. Luckily my husband is a lefty.

I have put on all my ikea kitchen door hinges... I don't even remember if they are 125 degree, 135 degree or some other "degrees" anymore.. It takes some time to install them. One tip, be sure to put the two pieces that attach to the cabinet in the right direction, I have done that wrong twice. Once you have that right, you should be able to snap on the door quite easily.

One time I talked to a contractor and he said Ikea door hinges are a pain to put on, so they don't even provide that kinda of installation service.

But if you are patient enough, you can totally do it yourself. It's rewarding too.
