installing of quartz counter tops in kitchen...Help

I want to install quartz counter tops in our kitchen, but the installer is telling me that they must be installed at different heights, like 1/2 inch difference, at the corner. Is this correct??? It sounds wrong to me. Can they be seamed??? Please help because I need to make a decision like yesterday.

Same question as the virtual designer -- did the installer say why? Sounds wrong to me. Get a second (and third...) opinion from other installers.

Thank you for answering me. Quartz should be installed the same as granite. So obviously I will not be using this installer.

It sounds like their is a communication problem. Quartz comes in 2 cm (3/4") thickness and 3cm (1-1/4") thickness. Other than trying to seam two different thickness quartz together, that doesn't make sense, BTW granite also comes in those dimensions.
