It looks like there are some green flecks in the stucco- what if you went in that direction with the painted siding? Maybe a saturated grey-green?

Then, play it up with some larger plants in different shades of green.

By the way- you house number are great!

The stucco looks to be a light Greige colour. You could paint the siding a colour like BM Rockport Grey, then just about any colour could be used for door. I think some shade of green might be nice because there's some green glass in the stucco, but then I like green.

Oh, I really like the midcentury bones of your house. Love the bottledash, I'd leave it alone, don't paint it. Looks in really good condition and adds interest.

Painting the trim around the bedroom windows white will really help make them look bigger. A fun color on both doors, and if it goes with your interior entry colors, bonus.

I like the first photo, if you painted the siding across the bottom a gray similar in tone to the bottledash, your house won't look like it's cut in thirds horizontally. You could go darker in the peak and white trim since the gutter is white anyway.

If you like the MCM style, a new front door, house numbers and light would be very nice to consider in the future.

The block is painted Sherwin Williams Intellectual Grey 7045 and the body of the house is painted SW Anonymous 7046.

The architect notes say the dark siding is Graphite (#1603) and the eaves and the fascia are Gunmetal (#1602). The stucco is the best match for Benjamin Moore color Timberwolf (#1600). THe door is Benjamin Moore's "Tequila lime" #2028-30, semi gloss.

Sherwin Williams, the front door is SW 6885 Knockout Orange, the dark siding is SW 7047 Porpoise, the trim around the windows and doors, and the gutters are SW 7049 Nuance, and the panels are SW 7044 Amazing Gray.

I don't think the amount contrast is wrong, my suggested is to shift it away from the brown and into grey-greener tones on the paneling. Then make sure to freshen up the white trim.

From there it may be fun to do a door that pops (as in Bette's examples). You could go lime green or a peacock blue.

thank you Bette for the amazing advice! I really like the pop of colors in the MCM, so I might do that. I think the I like the Rockport Gray for the siding to blend with the grey-greener tone as you are saying absg99.

Intellectual Grey is similar to Rockport Grey, as you can see below. First sample is Rockport. I recommend picking up a few sample pots to test.

I definitely agree with trying a variety of swatches. But don't just stick with the ones that are very similar--- considering looking at much more green options as well (such as SW Rosemary or SW Basil). They may be too much green but it is good to know your limits!

If you want to paint the window trim (with the goal of unifying the color on all of them) it would be a good idea to find out what the window is made of. I am pretty sure that vinyl, for example will need to be sanded and primed, or etched, or something. Ýou'd probably want to research it well at a paint store (Not a big box store) before picking up a brush. Good luck!
