Hi. I have a peanut cactus and it has offsets that are just beginning to fall off. I read that, in order for them to root, the soil must be similar to the original plant. I have it in regular potting soil and had just bought some soil specifically for cactus. Should I go ahead and use it for the babies, or put them in the regular potting soil? I'd never had a cactus before, so I'm new to all this. I appreciate any info you can give me. Gabrialle.
