Love it!! When we lived in Moore our dogs were going crazy one night. Went out with a flashlight and there was a baby opossum hiding under a bush. I went to grab a broom and it slipped under the fence quicker than I could say boo! Then another morning, my DH looked in our backyard (the dogs weren't out yet) and said, "there's a cat in the backyard by the door." So I go look and go outside to shoo it away so the dogs could go out. Nope, no cat.....it was a tiny fluff ball of a pomeranian. He was the absolute cutest thing. HOW my DH thought it was a cat I'll never know.

Saw a toad last night trying to catch a big dragonfly who was confused by the porch light. I watched to see how it would turn out. The dragonfly won. He got away. I know they can eat something that big because once I saw a toad with his mouth clamped shut on a locust, the big locust wings were sticking out of his mouth, one on each side and he had his eyes rolled back in his head. I could hear the locust making a muffled locust sound. It was pretty creepy looking.

Hmmm...I caught 3 more pokemon in my garden when I got in tonight. It's my late night. I almost ran into the "burn" pile because I was so focused on my pokemon hunt and it's DARK out here at night.

Other than that, I no longer have a kitchen sink for about a month. That's going to be an adjustment.

And I can't find my cat. I hate...hate...hate being away from my house for so many hours. Things go awry. I'm concerned because my husband forgot to water the chickens and I'm not sure how long they were without water. They had it this morning. And...maybe some army worms are eating my cowpeas. But I got in too late to check it out.

Southside! woot! Crazy stuff in SW OKC!

(I had to stop for gas tonight after leaving work and my friend wanted to know if I needed her (and her husband) to go with me. They are from Edmond.Uh...no? It is southside, she said. Yes, but I grew up here and I ain't scared. Don't make me go southside on you!) And I caught another pokemon as I was filling up my car.

Mice here, too. We trapped a couple. Then, a tiny baby mouse got stuck in my husband's office garbage bin. (He decided to put food and water in. ??) A few days later a 2nd appeared in the bin. Last night, I met their older sibling as it was stuck in the bath tub. Now, there are 3 squeaking in his garbage bin! (We have pet rodents and it's SO hard for us to 'dispose' of wild rodents.)

Our newfound central a/c is great. Our dogs thinks it's great. Apparently, we're cooling the crawlspace underneath the house. Our dog ripped the worn siding off the house 3x to get under there. At the latest, she's finding cmu/cinder blocks and bricks not worth the challenge. I don't blame her for wanting to be under there, but it would only be a matter of time before she gets thirsty and decides to help herself to the fresh water pipes. sigh

Note: She'd destroy the inside of our tiny house, too. Many people wonder why our large dogs are not used as lap dogs and sprawled out on the courch in the cool air while a red carpet awaits nearby leading to their indoor doggy bowl with expensive treats. Ideals cannot always be met. My son has severe allergic reactions to long-term exposure to cat and dog dander. Ergo, we have pet rats in the house, instead.
