There is a difference between dry measurements and liquid measurements - not a lot but some - so with dry ingredients it is best to use measuring cups made for dry measures when possible.

For example 1 quart liquid = 4 cups but 1 quart dry = 4.65 cups so you can see the difference can add up when multipled. If you take a dry measuring cup and pour 4 of them filled with dry ingredients into a liquid measuring container you can see the difference.

Yeah I knew about the dry measuring vs liquid. I guess I just didn't think about doing 4 cups instead of trying to do all at once. lol

Or use weight. Solves all those volume problems.
