Hi this is my first time posting a question and I am new to Houzz. I appreciate the great help I have seen you give others. DH and I have been searching for a foreclosure bargain for a lake cottage for years and finally found one that ticked all our boxes and we could afford. We are sooo excited and I have great ideas for the inside but the outside kind of has me stumped. We bought this bargain Texas lake community woodsy cottage with our saved up cash so we don't have a lot of money left over and need to work on a budget.

My ideas so far involve paint...was thinking of maybe a coral colored door, light and dark turquoise and trim but what about the iron railings? Can't afford to replace them now.

How about a bronze Texas star in the porch peak and matching hardware light? Any other ideas for that space as a focal point?

Landscaping wise I want to xieiscape because it just makes sense in Texas especially for a weekend place so those overgrown shrubs need to go. But what about that exposed concrete porch? Maybe a planter?

It is a beautiful view so I want a couple of Adirondack chairs and a small table for those cold beers and crisp wines we will be sharing.

I am open to all ideas, thanks in advance...
