Is there an appliance garage hiding in this kitchen?

I wonder because the cabinetry that sits right on the counter top looks like it could be an extra large appliance garage, something I am trying to design. If so, do the homeowners like the counter top depth or do they wish it were deeper for more food prep space?

Yes, the far left cabinet serves as a appliance garage on the bottom. Above that is an area for spices and above that another shelf for other odds and ends. Because there is so much room on the island for prep we were willing to sacrifice that area of countertop to get small appliances out of sight.

The ceiling is Dove White. The walls are Gray Owl. Both from Benjamin Moore.
