Hi Debbie and Ed,
I'm not sure what type of device you are using but on an iPad first go into setting and allow Houzz permission to access your camera/photos. Once you do that go on Houzz, click on the little circle icon in the top right corner ( this will bring you to YOUR HOUZZ ) your idea books where you will see a camera.
You can either take a picture or upload a picture. You can do this from the idea book you want your pic to be in or from your main page which shows all your idea books. (it will prompt you which idea book to put the pic in) Once you've done that look at the header at the top, you will see on the left the idea book and on the right a shopping cart, pencil, notepad, trash can.....
Click on the pencil or notepad and you will get icons to show up on the actual pic. Make your marks, notes and save. Send via text, email.... Or share on Houzz as long as you have edited and added someone to see or edit THAT idea book.

Make sure they have added you too!
