The table is fabulous; I'd love to see a closeup of that unusual corner detail.

You otherwise have a nearly blank slate, so I'd find inspiration in your china perhaps, art if there's wallspace to either unseen side, or a pattern to be incorporated.

You also have an opportunity to create a narrow console table that would disguise your radiator.

Have you searched for inspiration photos on houzz, since you could go in any of several directions?

The only walls in the dining room is the back wall with windows and the wall with the back doors. The other two sides open up to the living room and kitchen.

I'm also re- painting my kitchen and living room. Kitchen will be sea salt green, I believe it's called and living room will be a grey/off white color. Both of those rooms are noticeable from the dining room so I'd like something to match/flow when I pick the dining room color.

My partner and I do a lot of outdoor adventuring and so most of our photos are of plants, mountains, ocean, etc. Our artwork would probably be something related to nature.

I've added a photo of what im planning on using for the kitchen paint color and the living room. Our living room has a fireplace very similar to the one in the photo.

I think it depends on the look you want. Also, more affordable would be just above the trim and paint below but it would be more modern to remove the trim across the middle and wall paper the entire wall. .

If the kitchen is open to the dining room, I would continue the green (the same or a step or two darker on the color sample card) in the dining room. You can get sun-filtering roll-up shades if you need sun or glare control. Add some art you like where you have some wall space, perhaps seat cushions in an accent color or print.

Had the same thoughts- wallpaper & a new light! Dining rooms are a great place to jump out of your comfort zone slightly and build some ambience :)

I think I would skip the wallpaper (and spend the money on window treatment and accessories) and paint the same color as the kitchen (including the chair rail), which will make the space feel larger or paint the bottom white and the top same as kitchen. I would add a rad cover, a new chandelier (brass is back) and roman blinds on the windows in the same color as walls or white. Painting your chairs white could be an idea and add a large mirror to comp the chandelier and an antique dough bowl as a centerpiece. Dressing your room will create a warm and pretty space.
