Several issues; first - the TV is mounted too high and should be centered at seated eye level. Right now it is looming over the door and window frames. Angling the rug makes it appear not to be correctly sized for the room. It should be squared up to slip under the front 1/3 of the sectional wings, and the art should be centered rather than so close to the window. I don't think the shiny gold pillow is providing the effect you want - a bit on the glam side, IMO. You'll have to be careful adding gold and silver because you can get into the glam area very quickly. Here's a safe way to add gold.
