Would a light shade of green work here?

This photo kitchen wall color is Revere Pewter which would look very nice. If you'd like to add a bit more color to the spaces, I think a light teal green would be lovely.

I would paint it the color of the picture I posted. It is a warm gray that mimics the stainless appliances and picks up the gray in your flooring. It will contrast really nice with the dark granite without adding another color into the room. The cross doesn't work where you have it now. I do love the Lord, but the placement for it is wrong.

i agree with soring interiors on cabinet & wall colour conflict.. but you definitely need brighter and focused lighting before anything

I don't know what colour to go for, what do you think?

I would suggest Benjamin Moore Manchester Tan. It's a warm neutral.

while you're painting, paint out the white caulking(?) at the foot of the column. It looks like Elmers Glue :)

I would agree with the white or cream on the cupboards think it would really set the kitchen off also have you seen how people use pictures such as New York City at night with the black sky, purple, pink and colourful lights then they put a plastic or glass over top and put it around their kitchen walls? Also use as a splash back, I saw it in a black and white kitchen and it was absolutely stunning!

Thanks everyone, if I did some cabinets creamy white would I do the bottom or top half ? As probably costs a fortune to do it all :)

Even putting a creamy white in here on the walls would work better than this mustard color-but nicely painted white or cream cabinets are always fresh and clean looking-my fave look!

Both-I'm not into that look where the cabinets are two different colors. It won't work well on a low ceiling house at least. Maybe if the ceilings were 10 ft or over.

I think your cabinets and wall color are too similar. It would be easier to paint the walls gray or cream first. then if you don't like it, you could paint the cabinets...

For your kitchen walls I would use Linen white sating finish for kitchen & Bath Bj Moore
Cabinet I may paint semi gloss or eggshell white dove!

You also can't go wrong with "swiss coffee". It almost looks white. Coffee with lots of cream.

Before painting cabinets I'd try a lighter wall color taken from the back splash tiles (something that still contrasts with the white trim.) An easy trick to add some color and interest would be to find a great wallpaper for the back of the glass fronted cabinets and the open island cubby. Paint the bar stools the main color in the paper. Behind the sink, add a colored ceramic pot planted with fresh herbs.
