Your stone vent and granite have already given your kitchen enough pattern and movement — plus you need some contrast against the dark cabinets. I recommend cream subway tile.

Contrast is always important. If you don't want cream , Have you considered a light gray? Subway tile seems a better choice. I love arabesque, but it doesn't seem to match the feel of the kitchen. In the end, pick what you want to look at every day.

Sorry, the granite and range hood already contain pattern, the hood is the obvious focal point with the granite island the a second to that. Repeat one or the other, and get more of the stone facing, or run the granite up the splash. Perhaps lighten your wall color just a bit. Virtually any and every tile is going to be too busy. Solid or not. The hood became the "decider and dictator" when it was selected. It might be a little "oopsie" in fact......one of those "every decision has a consequence" type situations, realized after the fact.

That stone hanging in midair is visually overpowering, and visually unsettling as well.
