Thank you Cynthia. I didn't think of that. From what I have read most are mounting these types of spouts 3" above the counter top or 8" from the bottom of the sink. Therefore I suppose sink size would matter more.

Something to consider: If the faucet starts leaking, you will have to rip into the bathroom wall to fix the leak. Whereas a countertop mounted faucet can easily be replaced.

True, however I was thinking that I could have an access panel as tubs have.

the design is also a fair bit more expensive because of the valve in the wall. we researched it and then went with a deck mounted for our sink, behind the vessel.

its a kohler purist so it looks much like yours. it comes in two heights, one for a regular recessed basin and this taller one for vessels.

So glad I came across this. I am contemplating the same 2 faucets. I would like to pair the 90 degree angle withe the round Carillon sink (round, shallow). Which faucet did you choose Stewart? Which sink did you pair it with? Any splash out? Thanks.
