Help choosing right size pendant for narrow island

Our new island is 26" x 72". The kitchen has an 8' ceiling, already wired for TWO pendant lights. Is 9" diameter too wide for such a narrow island? If so, is there an ideal diameter?

Our appliances are stainless, but the drawer and cup pulls are oil-rubbed bronze, so we've decided to use ORB pendant lights, something like this:

I'll try to post a photo of our island in a minute!

    I think they will be just fine and not too wide. Make sure you hang them at the correct height.
