BTW...I do like your 30x30 marble look tile as well. It would look a little more "high end" to install on the diagonal. I wouldn't do the inlay, just the marble, but here is a sample of marble on the diagonal.

IMO wood floors lend a softness to a kitchen both in look and in actual use , tile floors are very hard on knees and feet.

Any idea what the dark counter in the kitchen is? I can see that with dark floors, white cabinets and white quartz. The dark brown counter is beautiful....anyone know what the material is?
