I believe that's purslane. I guess it's edible. There's one way to control it.

If you prefer chemical control, broadleaf herbicides with 2,4D/dicamba should take care of it.

Not sure of the name but I had tons to that stuff. It loves water and can get very thing & nasty. With the waxy leaves make sure you use a surfactant and hit it again at the recommended interval. Your 1st treatment will knock it down but may not kill it. Some of mine in bare dirt/non lawn areas took 3 treatments and just did some severe color changes but never withered up. I finally just used the proplugger on them.

The one with the red stems is spurge--Very tough. Seeds are like small sand grains under the leaves & it makes tons of them, so handle with care. Sulfentrazone is fairly effective, but you'll need a preM to target the billion seeds it drops. I have prostrate spurge everywhere this year

Thanks guys, i'm trying to pull it out as much as possible but by the sounds of it, it will be back next year but i should be able to get down a good preM barrier in the spring
