The first thing I would do is remove the large shrub between the windows and replace it with something smaller. I would do the same with the tree to the right of the front door.

Regarding the front door, If you keep the current house color you could paint it a bright teal and add some black shutters on the windows.

Those are some easy interim steps to take. Do these first and then see how you feel about the look before going to greater (read expensive) steps.

I dont know about bright teal. If I am not mistaken bright teal is almost like a neon light blue. Not sure if my husband will ever go for that. I just cant imagine how that will look.
