I recently switched my collection over to Haworthia/Gasteria as I will be growing indoors/using an artificial light setup during the Chicago winter. I have about 70+ varieties and over 200+ plants.

I am interested in using a purely inorganic mix to prevent potential root rot from the cold. I currently have 30lbs of perlite (1 batch of 1/8" and one of 1/4"). I am still trying to source pumice out here. Has anyone here had success growing these in a mostly inorganic mix?

I am also wondering what sort of fertilizing schedule/needs are required. I use Dynagrow foliage pro right now. I've read that people use it at 1/4 strength. Should I be fertilizing every watering at a certain dilution? Or should I fertilize every two weeks?

Any help would be appreciated.
