You don't want to repeat too many colors, yes? The icky green isn't so icky, but why in your chair then? It can look great with another simpler rug btw.

love the sectional...maybe even one shade lighter. I would be tempted to go a bit less matchy for the armchair to the rug (think it may end up being more overwhelming once it;s all put together), perhaps something to pick up that rusty-brown shade in rug.

I would not choose gray with your scheme. I would concentrate on the darker blue with a hing of the turquoise.

Choose a blue sectional with legs which match the hardwood. Add a couple of throw pillows.

Your flooring is warm including Saltillo [any of those are icky, don't]. The blue you chose is sort of slate, and in the heathery tone of rug, was it?

is about opposite of rusty tiles so would be 'lively', but to me the turquoise would be ok, and maybe more lively? Blue is more a conservative choice, more neutral.... thinking out loud....

Love the colors of this rug. Your rooms have warm woods and the gray just doesn't go with it. I suggest a rust color sofa, Dark navy accent chair and maybe a fun multi color accent chair, pick up the teal and gold with pillows, add brass coffee table and lamps.

If you didn't have light neutral walls, I'd say rust-brown sofa, but if you won't be painting, a blue sofa would brighten it up.... 'brighten'? well make it not as warm.

I had a look on the Room and Board website and a number of different style sectionals and chairs are offered in the same fabrics/colours etc regardless of style. So I concentrated on the colours. I think the Mink for the sectional (see Jasper sectional for example) and the Graphite in whatever chair you choose might work. They are both neutrals so work with the rug & then I would keep the accessories pretty simple. Mock up below so you can see what I mean by the colours - ignore the furniture styles. To keep it toned down I used two different colour teal pillows on sofa & one subtle accent pillow. I notice in your photos that there is a person who is enjoying sitting in his chair by the TV who may not enjoy a chair with too low a back going forward......something to think about. Good luck!

The tile and copper wall would make a rust sofa not a good choice. I would go with navy/denim or allana's ideas.

For example, havingfun's chairs seem to echo [just a bit more] the style of your home [more than mid-century chairs] but do you think so? Is there anything mission style about your house?
