Fall lawn prep

Hello everybody.

I'm trying to get a jump start on my fall yard work by making a plan. Every year I end up looking online for the best time to do such and such. For the first time this year, I will be keeping a log of everything I do (lawn, gardens, shrubs, small engines, water lines, etc.) for future reference. I'm the type of person that likes to have and follow a plan, so I'm really looking forward to this.

For the lawn this fall, I plan to do the following around these dates:

1. Spot spray weeds in September, once temps drop below 75

2. Apply a fall/winter fertilizer in early October

3. Core aerate my lawn a week or two after fertilizing

I live in central MN (zone 4a). I would really appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

Thanks!
