Painting bricks and mortar with regular paint can lead to moisture being trapped. As they need to breathe, try special brick paint, stain, or limewash. If you leave the bricks bare, there's little maintenance, beyond repairs.

Have you got better photos of the brick walls? It's hard to see the condition.

That's a lot of white trim. Before thinking about the bricks, consider painting some of it the same Biscayne Blue. I'd probably keep only the windows and fascia white.

I agree with Tribble about painting the brick; you turn a no-maintenance material into one that will have to be repainted periodically and will spend at least some time looking lousy in between. If you tone down the trim, you may find you like the brick as is, or can get away with whitewashing instead of painting it.

I agree too much white trim. Just windows and doors would be enough. Do you have a garage door yet? I think I would go with a natural stained door. If you must paint the brick, just a wash would be most attractive. Please no BLACK door!

No offense, but that garage door is really bad. I like grover's bottom picture with new door and reduced white trim.

I suggest your brick be stained gray, darker than the image below to 'anchor' your home. Then white on the garage door seems appropriate.

I would try to make the garage door disappear and certainly not in cedar which has no connection to anything. I do agree there is way too much white trim , I would leave the brick and maybe add some black planters on either side of the garage door to pull the railing into the mix. I usually hate white garage doors but in this case I think it is the best.

In regard to the trim, I think the issue is exacerbated mainly by bay windows part that protrudes from the house. Do you think there is something else I can do with that section that would maybe solve the less trim problem? The protrusion goes all the way up to the balcony level. As for the brick, I'm leaning towards either like a dark grey or slate stain or paint OR just keeping ye natural brick. If I keep the brick, then I'd do the white door. There will be a cedar fence around the property, so maybe a cedar garage door could work. I thought a black garage door would look good of I went with dark grey or slate brick, but I dont think anyone else seems to agree : )
