Help furnishing, decorating empty small living room/dining room

Looking for help furnishing this small living/dining room combo. Would like to fit a smaller sectional if possible, still unsure otherwise everything will be starting from scratch. This room would be used for eating, watching TV, entertaining and lounging. My favorite styles are mid-century modern, contemporary, Industrial, minimalist, and traditional. So many choices I feel a little overwhelmed, everything is on the table at the moment so looking for help to narrow it down. Any help with furnishing size, scale, and layout would be appreciated.

Oops sorry truncated by accident. A couple of bar stools at the bar. Maybe a small table in front of the sliding doors, with a couple of leaves so you can make it bigger when needed. Or maybe even use the whole space as living room, but put a drop leaf table behind the sofa as a "sofa table" that can be opened and used for a dining table when needed. If you do that, use stackable or folding dining chairs so they can be out of your way until you need them.

I woulld actually like a floor plan with measurements before saying anythingexcept MCM furniture style lends itself to small space very well

Well here's a non pro recommendation, FWIW. 9x12 rug. 2 counter stools. Sofa against back wall with drop leaf dining table closed up as "sofa table." Maybe a lifting coffee table in a small scale, if you like to work on your PC and watch TV. Couple of chairs flanking the patio door, perhaps, each with small C table (since you don't want a table in the middle blocking the door. TV on wall opposite bedroom wall with media center credenza underneath.

I'll see if there's some way to fit some type of sectional, but the space really isn't that large so you furnishing selections will have to be flexible and do multiple tasks. You don't really have the room for a permanent table and chairs, but you might be able to find a coffee table that lifts to eat at or place a computer.

You can purchase a wall mounted Boom light from Restoration Hardware so the light can be extended over the sectional toward the middle of the room.
