I would keep the ghost chair with a great throw in orange or pink thrown over the back The art behind the sofa is a bit boring for the look you want some bright color for that wall would be awesome and then some boho pillows in patterns and color and texture Paint the mirror frame turquoise to be honest I ma getting more a scandanavian feel to the rest of the space so maybe don’t go crazy with the boho style just some fun touches of it

a couple things that are making it formal, is it looks a little staged, less free if you will to the boho heart. the rug seems out of place too small or not needed. maybe a round rug, the fireplace is too clean. fabric, wood. dont get me wrong i love this space!

I love your space and think it looks awesome! A new accent chair in a more natural wood color would make a big difference. The mirror over the fireplace could be painted a darker color if you're trying to move away from glam.

Its very pretty and I agree it has a bright glam feel. Really love the dining nook. Anyway, if you want more of a boho look Id start with a different rug. Something less bright and more earthy. More of a muted vintage look rug. Id also bring in more wood tones and natural elemnts like wicker thru baskets and a tray, and maybe switch out the white mirror to a different finish. The pillows could be switched to more of a mudcloth style. Generally i think the bright colors, white elememts and metallic finishes lean more glam than boho. Also maybe a jute rug under dining table. Altho i realise with a little one jute is not practical.

Put some patterned wallpaper up, in a saturated color, or simply paint the walls in a medium to dark, warm color.

Lovely, interesting room & refreshing. A couple of quick & easy changes that will give it a look that is less glam and more boho. Change the frames on the pictures on the walls. Make them two coloured as in pic below. Ditto paint the frame of the mirror black. Put coloured candles in your candle sticks on mantle. Put the sheepskin throw on the back of the sofa. Move the ghost chair forward so it is not isolated from the rest of the seating area & add a multicoloured boho throw on its back. I think with these changes you might then be happy with your existing pillows. Extra seating - as you suggested rattan would be great. Maybe a peacock chair or acapulco chairs or even a large moroccan ottoman or colourful chaise would give it an ecclectic/boho feel. Good luck!

Rug size was tough. Overlapped fireplace marble if too big--or ran into dining room space. Would looooove a dining room rug, but my one year old eats like a monster and would destroy it.

The mantel could use some warming up

You have some great pieces. I agree with Beverley's layout though. Can you try the rug and couch turned? Everything seems squished up to the wall and you have a lot of space between rug and the yellow table.

The yellow table was originally a stained finish. Bought it and had it painted by MegMade--a wonderful company in Chicago that sells and refinished vintage pieces.

Love your room! The new rattan chair will give you some more warmth but I don't think you have lose the Ghost chair. Try and find a way to use them together.

Awesome new chair! ... Only thing I'd suggest is a different mirror, perhaps one with a wood frame similar to the tone of your new chair - just needs a few more earthy touches

Find a way to prop the mirror up so that it doesn't reflect the ceiling. Add a tall cardboard box filled with a bag of sand in the corner above the fireplace and use it to give the mirror stability and something to lean on so it isn't looking up at a white ceiling. If you can find a way to angle it down ever so slightly, that would be the best

Love the boho look and you've done a great job. Your wall arrangements might benefit from one or two bigger pictures to really anchor the look.
