Do you see how that warm wood of the butcher block just pops out? The room is crying for more wood in that tone. I'd replace the black stools w a wood to match the butcher block. A dining table in the same tone w white chairs would be nice. Stay away from more gray or black as it doesn't help the space at all.

Warmth....your new kitchen needs some warmth. It is so very cool and grey.

Gray overload. Add natural wood tones (like the knife block next to the stove which pops against all that gray) and add color - you could go in many directions, teal or yellow or red - but something that will add warmth and personality. Your after pics barely look like you used color film (ok dating myself by mentioning film, but you get the idea). Color, color, color. Just way too much tone on tone here.

I agree, beautiful and the warmth from your knife block and the puppy looks spot on. Maybe burlap woven shades to add more textures, I can't tell but are the stools black? could you do something in that warm tone, also a jute colored runner

One place to add color would be to replace/repaint the dog food canister and dishes with a solid color that's tied into the new window treatments although I'm not a fan of having the canister out, no place to hide it? A fruit bowl would be terrific. Don't go overboard, maybe find some bright clothing or towels and place where you might want more color to evaluate if it works for you. Doesn't need much, your cute dog and knife block that show up quite well in the otherwise monotone photo show that.
