Help! Don't know what to do with this room.

We are unpacked in every room but the sunroom and we are not even sure where to start here. This was to be the workout and music (guitars and keyboard) and mini office room but it is too small for all that.

Our last house had an enormous built in desk where everything that is in these boxes was stored. We need to buy something for storage but we don't want to spend too much as this room will most likely be a part of a future remodel.

We've already realized the treadmill and exercise equipment will have to go into the garage. We are hoping for suggestions on where to put the tv, keyboard, desk, and chairs (don't have these yet) and storage. Thanks

oh my.....the floor just takes over....and the stain glass windows and it just don't go together at all!
it would have to change. The shelving idea is great.....the clutter could come up off the floor and make the rooms seem bigger.

Shelving above and around the desk. It can be attached to the wall. Look at wall system in Ikea.

I see a great space for a huge desk at the end of the room by the stained glass windows. (which you can change out but do protect from glare). 2 seats and all your books stored either underneath or along the top.IKEA can help you out.

If you still don't have enough space, then build a small cabinet shelf/credenza that follows the line of the wall opposite the windows for more storage and hanging pictures behind it. Two small armchairs or chairs for putting feet up and relaxing and forget the gym space. You are good to go.

I really like the floors and windows! They're funky and have character. I would move the mini fridge and wine chiller (I think?) and slide the computer next to the stairs, that should give you a fair amount of room on the other side to fit things in.

The fridge and wine fridge are there temporarily... Until we can find another place. They are for drinks as the kitchen fridge is too small.

I agree with the Ikea storage idea. You can probably find what you need on Craigs List, & then sell it through the same site if you want to go with something different later.

I have a similar room in my bugalow, still unrenovated! I envy you the beamed ceiling. I would suggest making those beams your focal point by removing the stained glass windows & using a natural material on the floor. Wood, of course, is always a good choice. Just make sure that you protect it from your desk chairs by using a rug where you roll.

I think we will be making a trip to Ikea soon. I too like the wood in the ceiling but am not sure of the long term plan. Thanks for all the suggestions.
