If you're a treatment professional, you know better than we do, what pieces of furniture you need: Massage table, storage unit for oils & creams, linens to change off, blankets & pillows, chair for person to sit & change clothes.

If your clients spend time staring at the ceiling, although I am not always a fan of them, a nicely done ceiling trompe l'oeil of clouds and birds can create a soothing atmosphere. Likewise, I always appreciate looking at a bowl of pretty flowers on the floor if my back is being cricked and cracked! The walls can be made cosy by adding loads of drapes along the walls as it creates a more intimate and tent like setting. (but beware fire hazard if you have candles).

My experience is that when you're getting a massage, you're usually either face down on the table, or face up with your eyes closed; that's what they recommend for relaxing. If someone asked me to describe my massage therapist's treatment room, I'd be hard pressed to do it, because she also had dark curtains & the light was on just enough not to bump into the furniture. I guess the only time the drapes were open or lights on, was when she was working at her desk w/o clients around.
