Yes maybe even something glass instead of wood to really change it up

I am dealing with the same situation. Passed papers on a condo in the Florida Keys two weeks ago. Essentially black granite and I believe mahogany cabinets. They are in mint condition so I want to work with them. We are looking at this table https://www.bassettfurniture.com/60-Inch-Wood-Table-with-Turned-Base-|-Custom-Dining-DZ44806.asp . Decorator is thinking of a dark base to tie in and then a whitewash or pickled finish chairs to start tying in those lighter finishes. We could also do the reverse, light base and chairs in the dark finish.
