I need advice on paint color for entrance door and garage doors. Also on possibly iron work, shutters or awnings. Any ideas?

No shutters you have no room them, the garage needs to be less white , you need LARGE planters on either side of the entry I would remove the lanterns replace with the planters and put spotlights to high light the planters take that tiny chair away, paint the door green or black

What are the white strips around the door? That is a problem. Can those be painted? If not, then I think the door needs to be white.

If they can be painted, I would paint then a color kind of close to what the door is now, and then make the other decisions. The white is incredibly distracting.

Dark smokey blue color for front door, trim and garage doors. Paint your door casing the same, please and thank you. No shutters. Pots in front are great idea.

    Try Behr Blue Metal

Your house is beautiful! I think it has a lot of curb appeal. Thick white trim around Windows would be so cool. You have so much glass in front door that a white door could be super classy looking. What about super thick wood shutters on upper Windows. Also, not a huge fan of gray rock in bedding. Never have been. How about some rich brown mulch there. It would be a big change for a small cost. Cover the rocks if you don't want to remove them. Thick mulch is rich looking. Not enough room visually for a plant or chair by front door. Possible some cool looking green wreaths on each window of front door....no cheesy wreaths. I'm not a huge fan of wreaths unless you can find a super cool one like a lemon leaf wreath. Willam-Sonoma has some cool ones sometimes. They have some beautiful bay leaf wreaths right now I love. A rich black door would be cool too.

Your house is really beautiful but the rocks a bit boring, you could paint the columns white to make the entrance pop up and add shutters for the windows with box of flowers.
    Entrance door blue gray

I doubt at this point if you can remove the lanterns, but if that's a possibility I would ad large lights to your columns. If you can, that's the first thing I'd change. Along with ones next to your garage. I'd also remove that tree you have so close to your window. It will and dangerously close as it grows. I'd ad a birch tree in your front lawn, in most regions the grow quickly, and landscaping with it. I agree, remove the tiny chair. Besides that I really don't think it's as boring as you think... It looks fairly new. Those roses will grow and provide quite a bit of color. Not sure what's behind the iron fencing.

No shutters! Darken door to match a grayish tone from the stone (to de-emphasize it as a part of the front), then door a dramatic blue (with same trim or the garage door color for trim).

This house has a grand feel, with the tall entrance and simple lines -- I think awnings and iron work, etc., are likely to make it fussy. Will look nice once the landscaping matures.

My idea to improve appearance mostly involves landscaping. I would add a landing and then rework the walk. I would also balance the planting bed on each side of the walk. Many colors would be an improvement to your doors. I used blue. I also think you need a hanging light above the door so I drew one. I am not suggesting you get a globe, it is just all I know how to draw. I also apologize for making your landing and path look like a Planarian. I am not a skilled artist. Garage is supposed to be similar in color to the roof. This puts more attention on the entrance and less on the garage.

All great answers. Yes I was planning on painting the white around the doors. I also think the garage doors need softened. The landscaping is fresh but we decided to stay with that rock as it was all around the house. Behind the railing is Holly.

There just isn't nearly enough landscaping to balance the size of your home.

I went with the Behr Blue Metal and a lighter shade on the garage doors. We have to get a new roof so deciding on shingle color.
