Brand new house. I am the builder so I am not restricted by the labor contract but I am stuck with Sherwin Williams. I need help picking a paint color. I know exactally what I like and don't like, but I am ever so terrible at selecting the colors. I just don't have that eye. Help!

I don't like white/light trim. (Stainable wood trim is out due to price point.) I am not opposed and even kinda like the idea of going darker on the doors, trim, and baseboards, but not lighter than the wall. I have actually seen many gorgeous homes where darker trim is used. I'm not into the black or really dark trim thing though.

I like every room in the house the same color. It is very uniform and relaxing to me. It's just me. I want the walls and ceilings to be the same color. Again, lots of pictures where this is done and it looks fabulous. I have nine foot ceilings throughout except upstairs where all the spaces are vaulted.

So what I need:

One color to paint the whole house. Ceilings, walls, trim, doors, and baseboard. (Not white but light/medium neutral sounds good.)

OR

One color for the walls and ceilings with a darker coordinating color for the doors, baseboards, and trim. (I saw a picture where only the doors and associated door trim was done and I super loved that idea. But they had used teal and that's a bit too dramatic through the whole house.)

I know this is stepping out of the normal but the light trim thing makes my very anxious and over stimulated. As does colors switching room to room.

About the house: The cabinetry is a natural knotty hickory and the wood floors will either be a medium tone hickory or dark stained hickory (depending on paint). The cabinets and floors will be the same through the entire house. The house has a very open floor plan with a two sided fireplace between dinning room and living room. There are many windows/glass light doors through out creating a lot of natural light.
