Lighting over an uncentered island

In true fashion, we are undertaking a kitchen Reno and haven't properly planned for lighting. Our kitchen gets little natural light, so we're wanting to put as much light as possible in here.

Dilemma: Island is not centered too the sink area or pass-thru. Would you hang pendants over the island anyways, and if so, centered to what? The island? The pass-thru? Or would you use pot lights for task lighting (if there is such a thing)

Excuse the mess.......husband is tiling today and breakfast dishes still abound.....

    Hi,

    A few pendants over the island will look great. We can offer you a few options to center the pendants: We can either make an additional canopy to cover the junction box and connect it to the main canopy, or make the main canopy larger and place the pendants closer to the islands.
