My builder uses Houzz Pro to plan the timeline and give detailed estimates and daily updates with photos of progress, and provide invoices at pre-agreed key points in the build. This made the whole experience much more efficient and stress-free.

I currently have stained oak cabinets (16 yo). We are currently looking to replace our current floors -- my husband wants to go light wood - maple?? I prefer dark wood - natural barn wood.

What do you suggest?

    Oh dear. A husband vs. wife question. I suggest you sit down and agree on the look you're going for. The maple sounds lovely--giving light to the floor and a more contemporary look. The dark barn wood will be warm and full of character. Both are winners!
