Long arm help, please.

I have a Nolting Fun Quilter 17. Today while free motion quilting, the thread jumped out of the thread holder over the cone and the top thread broke at the needle. I re threaded and when I started to sew again, the needle bar would not go completely down. I removed the bobbin and case, and the needle, but it still won't move up or down. I cannot see anything obviously holding it in place. Has anyone ever had this problem? I sent a note to the dealer and hope he will be able to help since it's about 8 hours to his shop.

My guess is there's a bit of thread tangled in there somewhere. Hopefully the dealer can help you over the phone. Good luck!

You are right, Donna. Heard back from the dealer and manufacturer bright and early this morning. I oiled the bobbin trace and forced it to turn using the rear thumb wheel (per manufacturer instructions) and it popped loose. After lunch I will do a good cleaning to see if I can find a thread lodges somewhere. The dealer said if that didn't help we could do an "electronic reset" an see if that did it. So glad we didn't have to get into that.
