We ended up using a busy granite so we're going with a solid horizonal white backsplash "Ace Blanco"....thanks anyway!

Glass tile is generally tough, and you could certainly use it on a bathroom countertop, but I don't think I would recommend it for the kitchen countertop. There is so much more hard-core use in the kitchen, what with heavy pans and the misc chemicals in food. I'm be more comfortable using one of the solid glass countertops intended for the purpose, such as "THINK GLASS" or GLASS2". Both of these companies make solid glass countertops that come in a single, hard, slab, with no grout joints.

GREY GRANITE COUNTERTOP WOULD LOOK A LOT BETTER THAN GREEN. THE GREY MOSAIC GLASS TILE LOOKS GREAT. I LOVE THE RANGE HOOD AS WELL.
