Schluter strip question

My home is going to be undergoing stucco/mold remediation in the near future so we are doing tile selections since they are tearing out our master shower. My husband has been in the residential construction business 20+ years & is a licensed contractor in our former home of NC so we've got a good handle on what needs to happen in general. What we don't have much experience with is Schluter strips as the home builders he's worked for hasn't used them. I like the clean look it gives, plus the tile I've chosen doesn't have bullnose pieces. My question is do the aluminum pieces hold up over time in the shower? I'd like to use 10x14 wall tile then have my accent line be 3 rows of 3x6 subway tile with the oil rubbed bronze color schluter strips as the separator. For the pros out there familiar with these, what are your thoughts on longevity because I don't want the finish to wear off in 5 years or become discolored.

This picture is similar to what I think I want but add the strips as a border to the subway tile section. Thanks in advance!
