I think you mean wall to wall carpet. I'm assuming you might not be located in a city. When I lived in the country, dirt from the outdoors was an on-going issue in the home. Wall to wall carpet would have been a disaster. Would you consider area rugs with a hardwood floor?

Walk to wall carpet is kind of a disaster in most house main living rooms because of the traffic and casket also tends to keep dirt and odor trapped in fibers unless you're into washing If every month. If you absolutely hate wood floors then the one thing that would probably stand up to traffic and work in a rustic decor would be Berber.

The ceiling light fixture, the storage/curtain and phone nook seem to need the most attention. Here are a few thoughts regarding those things.
1. Replace the light fixture with something more modern.
2. Replace the curtain with a barn-style sliding door.
3. Turn the phone nook into a home message and/or phone storage area.

I'm not sure what you are asking. Are you saying you wish to purchase this? If so, it looks good to me. Just make sure the light color works for you and your lifestyle. Do you have kids, dogs etc.? Is it cleanable?

If you're determined to get wall to wall carpet, take a cue from the sofa manufacturer and choose a color similar to the rug in their photo. Flooring the color of dirt/mud is best to hide actual dirt/mud, and the saturated color makes the sofa pop.
