The living area in our loft is about 24' square and 18' high. It has a wide floor to ceiling window at one end. Currently the artificial lighting is on two double-cable tracks running down the room toward the window, at about 9' high, with various steerable halogen fixtures along them. The cable tracks are about 6' in from each side of the room. How can we get more light into the center of the room, and increase the versatility of the lighting? We have some standard lamps, but they tend to look a bit "lost" around the edges of the room. It seems difficult to find a lighting designer in San Francisco who could take a look at the whole room – any ideas or referrals would be very welcome.
