Sounds like you are wide open. I'm concerned about the apparent lack of lighting in there, though. Other than your pendants, what other lighting is planned? Because I am not seeing any.

We do have recessed lights. You will see them if you zoom in a bit. Apologies for the bad quality of the picture!

Agree with glass globes! also just recently discovered that they now make LED Lights that look cool in the glass globes--they look like those old fashioned Edison lights but they are LEDs! Also, if it can, get under cabinet lights. I LOVE MY LED Under cabinet lights!

It's hard to see even if I zoom in. But it looks like you might have about 5 cans? Please tell me you are doing under cabinet lighting, too. Lighting is so important in a kitchen.

Would you say your taste run traditional, modern, bling or something else? . Have you seen any that you have been drawn to? What will be the color of your counter tops and back splash?

I like the glass globes idea. I also think two simple black frame lantern pendants would look good with black hardware.

My taste I would day is transitional, classic with a contemporary twist. I like a few lanterns like in the pic below. The color of the backsplash is cream with a Sonoma metallic tile above the cooktop (see picture). The countertop is called colonial cream which is yellow and beige.

Be careful when choosing a full glass pendant. They get very dirty. Make sure it is something that can be easily cleaned.

I have been drawn to this one. Still contemplating about the finish, Antique Bronze or Burnished Silver ? Found a picture in customer reviews that has the same Sonoma metallic tile in the backsplash as ours.

Sunaina- I think that Progressive Pendant would look great in your kitchen plus it is spot on with your style " transitional, classic with a contemporary twist" and you won't have to spend all day cleaning the glass :) Just wondering why you may be questioning yourself on this selection?

I would just make sure the size is correct for the space.

Pendants are very popular now, yet classic and not trendy. Consider 2 larger pendants instead of the more common set of 3.

Another thought is a chandelier instead of pendants. I'm starting to see more of this look and since it sounds like you won't be having any other hanging lights, this could be a good place to put a statement light fixture. Especially since your finishes in your kitchen are very neutral.
