What about wall mounting your tv? The floating television would help fill the space and better balance out the pictures. Right now with it sitting on the stand it seems heavy compared to your beautiful light artwork. I think the mirrors would make the wall too busy. Love the nice neutral colour palette with the subtle pops of colour in the room - very nice space!

How about a floating shelf with some pottery or knick knacks to balance it all out. I like mine because I can do different holiday display's or if I get bored I can change the pottery I normally have to something else. Your room is very pretty. I can see 1 maybe 2 floating shelves with pops of red decor on it to pull from the pictures.

Great room, art is beautiful. I think having the TV in the middle of the art detracts from the art. Could you move the TV to the left closer to FP and hang the 2 pieces of art together (with 3-4" space between) centered on the wall?

I am not a big fan of wall mounting the TV.. Not sure why.. mental block may be.. or the fact that TV will be at a higher level than the eye level when sitting down on the sofa. but I am not opposed to that idea, if nothing else works.

@jck910 I never thought of that option. The opposite wall 45 feet away is my kitchen wall, with tall cabinets and cooktop-rangehood in the middle. Was trying to mimic a similar pattern of two tall artwork and TV in middle. But Thank you for your suggestion

I still think shelves (this pic shows my normal look, the last post I could only find a Christmas pic). I don't think that shelves would take away from the art, the art you have makes it's own statement. Perhaps some white shelves with white items on them and a bit of red. Minimal things would work. I think your ideas are good maybe the 1st and second idea you posted. But instead of another flat work of art something more in scale with the pictures and adds interest. (Had to have the Chicago Cubs on the TV today!!)

I am also with you on not wall mounting the TV, I too like eye level. Sometimes I see TVs mounted so high my neck hurts! LOL

Hello, The paintings are beautiful and should be hung together. Is it possible to lower the mantle above the fireplace (seems a bit high) and put the TV above the mantle? Alternatively, the TV could be placed off-center and towards the corner, with the paintings together on the wall. Dividing the paintings with the large TV or filling the wall space above the TV looks crowded and off to me.

One more idea....maybe some large candles or candle sticks (in a white wash style) in between (on a shelf or hanging on the wall style) or large lanterns.

That artwork is beautiful and provides a really interesting focal point that showcases your point of view - I love it! Have you thought about a full height media cabinet that encloses your tv? Something in a neutral color would remove the visual weight of the tv and add the height you're looking for, without adding another feature / decoration that would distract from the paintings.

I wish you could put them closer together instead of using them as a frame. Some white shelves might be nice there to echo the mantle a bit.

This might be a strange suggestion, but how would you feel about a decorative mirror? There's a lot of style options for those, and you could get one that's shorter and wider to match the empty space. The nice thing about mirrors is that they (literally) reflect the colors throughout the room, and they can often make a space seem larger. But it might be weird if you make eyecontact with yourself while watching tv.

Hi, beautiful room! I would pull the two chairs flanking fireplace closer to each other with a shared ottoman for really relaxing by the fireplace. Try moving the TV down closer to the fireplace and then hanging the two art pieces close together to the right of TV. Place some Raku pottery pieces (3) picking up the colour from the art work on the mantle. Sometimes you just have to play to get it right but presently you are correct. It is a bit off. Have fun!

Thank you all for the suggestions. I have some feedback to leave it as it is. Or try putting them together. Which means I have to move the sectional. Will give it a try, if I can't bear to leave it as it..
