Air Exchanger

Currently have an air exchanger with a HEPA filter where the unit has been discontinued. Looking at the option of upgrading the unit. The unit I have is a heat recovery unit but would like to know if it is worth upgrading to an energy recovering unit to keep some humidity inside the house during the winter. Also the current unit is rated at 180/270CFM with five intake ports. At times it is felt the unit takes a while to remove the excessive moisture from the bathroom. Is it worth upgrading to a unit that has more CFM or look at disconnecting some of the unneeded intakes. The air exchanger was installed in recent years in an older home.

Thanks!
